The result is a very varied collection of photos from different places.
Here are the photos followed by the tutor comments:
Complementary Colours
Blue-green:
Tutor comments:
This is an interesting picture Orly, but the colour relationship is not clearly defined. If you look carefully at the picture you will see that the flames also appear to be yellow and red.
Purple-yellow:

Tutor comments:
There maybe a problem with the calibration on my screen here, but the flower actually looks more pink than red. This effects its position on the colour wheel, and it ceases to be an example of complementary colours. It is, however, a well balanced picture with a good colour accent.
Red-Green n0.1

Tutor comments:
This image works much better in terms of complementary colour. Watch having your subject too central in the frame. The thirds line would have helped you here.
Red-Green no.2

Tutor comments:
This is a lovely picture and a perfect example of complementary colours. You have positioned the leaf on a thirds line, and used an appropriate depth of field to make it the focal point of the image. Well done.
Similar Colours
Photo 1:
Tutor comments:
The dogs on the bleached grass background work very well for similar colours.
Photo 2:

Tutor comments:
The predominant colours in this picture are the yellow and red tones of the leaves. As these sit at different positions on the colour wheel this picture would be better suited as an example of colour contrast.
Photo 3:

Tutor comments:
The differing tones of the boat the water and the overhanging leaves all help to make this a really good example of colour harmony through similar colours. It is a lovely picture and one that you could comfortably look at for some time. Well done.
Photo 4:

Tutor comments:
As an example of similar colours this picture also works very well. However, let’s not forget the previous exercises here. The horizon is far too central in the picture. It either needs to be placed higher or lower in the frame to improve the compositional elements within the frame. The horizon is also sloping really badly. If you get home from a shoot and find that you have been holding the camera at an angle, then you need to adjust this through rotating the picture in your editing software. Because of the lack of colour influences here, the wonky horizon draws the eye straight to it.
Contrasting Colours
Photo 1:
Tutor comments:
This is a nice picture, well composed and a good illustration of contrasting colours.
Photo 2:

Tutor comments:
This is an excellent example of contrasting colours. Again I would like to see your lines a bit straighter, and you could rotate the angle of this image so that the books are not slightly sloping to the right.
Photo 3:

Tutor comments:
Gosh lots of contrasting colour going on in this one. Well done.
Photo 4:

Tutor comments:
This image has very little colour going on in the frame and looks almost monochrome. I’d be inclined to put it into the similar colours category. It’s a nice shot though.
Colour Accent
Photo 1:
Tutor comments:
This is a perfect example of colour accent and a lovely picture. The eagle eye draws you straight to it. Well done.
Photo 2:

Tutor comments:
This example works work well too. It is almost colour accent in reverse with the bold colour being your main area, and the white badge placed appropriately.
Photo 3:

Tutor comments:
I can see what you’ve tried to do here, but if we think about it, you actually have blue and white and green and orange in the frame, so the colour relationship is less clear. Ideally you just want one position of differing colour within the frame.
Photo 4:

Tutor comments:
This is not a strong picture, Orly. The colour is flat throughout the frame and your colour accent spot unclear and muted. You need sharp detail and a range of tones to improve this image.
Tutor summery:
You seem to have a grasp on the colour exercises, Orly, and I feel sure you will be able to take this information forward to the next assignments. Just remember to keep referring back to previous exercises so that you build on all the elements in the picture simultaneously.
My summery:
I do feel good with most of the photos I handed. I know that in the end I did some things in a hurry becuase I wanted to hand the assignment allready after so much delays and so I didn't feel perfect about it. I will take all the comments and try my best next assignment.
